Melodie Hebrajskie

The music project “Hebrew Melodies” is a melding of two passions of the artist: Judaism and music. It includes compositions for violin and piano connected to Jewish culture, tradition and history. Ravel’s “Kaddish” and “Kol Nidre” by Maximilian Pilzer reflect the atmosphere of Jewish prayers; “Nigun” by Ernest Bloch stems from Chassidic tradition; the folk song “Hava Nagila” , “Hebrew dance” by Josef Bonime and “Hebraisch” by George Perlman represent Jewish folklore. The concert also includes three pieces by John Williams: “Theme from Schindler's list”, “Jewish Town- Krakow ghetto- winter '41”, and “Remembrances”, as well as “Sunrise Sunset” from Jerry Bock's musical “Fidler on the roof” and the „Romance” by Henryk Wieniawski- Polish, Jewish composer.
